Eighties swing

The Eighties takes on vibrant life with the new collection of UK high street brand Dorothy Perkins, which recently opened its flagship store at the Rockwell Powerplant mall, featuring a Shoe Lounge.The new collection revolves around that ‘80s sartorial device known as “power dressing,” or, making a statement with high-octane accessories, including oversized clutches, ankle boots, multi-strand Fake Balenciaga Handbags belts, slouchy handbags and biker boots.One of this season’s trend is “London Calling,” a street-inspired look  using ‘80s shapes  with ‘90s styling.  Stripes and iconic graphics, acid washing and color blocking designer Stainless Steel Necklace describe this collection done in black white, cobalt blue, chantreuse and purple.Key pieces include the boyfriend blazer, leggings, studded, waisted dresses, denim shirt dresses, indigo, marble -wash skinny jeans,  studded, tulip skirts,  popperside tunics in abstract print,  graphic, scratchy –print, slouchy tees, embellished,  batwing tees and metallic embellishment.  The ‘80s vibe continues
embroidered patches in the “Breakfast Club” trend, with its color and print blocking, slouchy shapes and power shifts as well as graphic and Art Deco details.

These are done in shades of cobalt blue, black, white and jade.
